The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) continued its MOSTI Tech Talks with the fifth session, themed “The Nuclear Edge” at Undercroft, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Seri Iskandar, Perak.
Mr. Lee Yuh Jiunn, General Manager of Billion Prima Sdn Bhd—a Malaysian company specializing in the development and provision of security scanning technologies such as cargo and baggage X-ray scanners, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) systems, and radiation detection solutions—represented the company at the event.
During his presentation, Mr. Lee highlighted the applications of nuclear-based technologies and their potential to enhance security and improve the efficiency of detection systems across various sectors. He also noted that several of the company’s products have been certified under MySTI, a government initiative aimed at empowering the commercialization of local technologies and innovations.
The session received an overwhelming response, with over 300 attendees, including UTP staff and university students. MOSTI Tech Talks continues to serve as an important platform for sharing knowledge in science, technology, and innovation (STI), while fostering direct engagement between ministry leadership and the academic community.
