As part of heightened security efforts for the 46th ASEAN Summit, held from May 26 to 28 in Kuala Lumpur, dual-view baggage inspection scanners equipped with AI were provided to the government through a dedicated rental service.
On May 24,MY-X6040-Dvi Dual View baggage scanners were installed. These scanners, equipped with high-resolution dual-view X-ray imaging and AI to accurately detect prohibited items , were rented specifically for this event to enhance government-level security screening. Operated by the Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), the scanners play a critical role in detecting prohibited and suspicious items, ensuring safety and operational efficiency throughout the summit.
This deployment highlights the vital role of advanced screening technology and specialized rental services in supporting national security during major international events.
